Bio-The Rock

"The Rock" is a young male tagged on 29 August 2017 at a nest at the Municipal University of Newfoundland Botanical Garden in St. John's. His nest is where last year we tagged the fledgling Leif Erikson as well as Daphne, an adult female who nests a few miles west of the Garden. The Rock's sister Aster also got a satellite transmitter this year.

His name recognizes his Newfoundland origin. Newfoundlanders refer to their island as "The Rock."
