Bio-AsterAster is a young female fledged in 2017 from a nest at the Municipal University of Newfoundland Botanical Garden in St. John's. Her nest is where last year we tagged the fledgling Leif Erikson as well as Daphne, an adult female who nests a few miles west of the Garden. Aster's brother, The Rock, also got a transmitter this summer. Like her neighbor Daphne, Aster was named for a very familiar genus of plants, recongnizing her hatchsite at the Botanical Garden.
