20 October 2005.
Conanicus seems to have settled down in the Cienaga Zapata (cienaga is
Spanish for swamp). He's the first New England bird I've had stop short of
South America. Some (at least 1) birds tagged in Maine by my colleague,
Mark Martell, have set up shop for the winter in Florida and others have
decided the Caribbean was far enough.
