19 August 2005. Our
first movement of the fall season. Homer, a youngster fledged at the Long
Point Nature Preserve, flew to Connecticut either late on the 18th or
early on the 19th. He is just west of the Connecticut River, home to one
of the famous Long Island Sound Osprey colonies.
Other birds on this map are Bluebeard
(52332), who's still around his failed nest, and Conanicus (52335), still
hanging around his nest in Narragansett Bay.
