13-15 Sept.: Elsie continues south. We're not sure exactly when she left the DC/Richmond area (her transmitter was in the money-saving, "off" part of its duty cycle), but on the 13th she was heading south. Her route took her from the Potomac, just east of Fayetteville, NC, to her locations just north of Savannah, Georgia, on the 14th. She spent the 15th north and west of Savannah. This has been a very popular area for many of our previously tagged birds--both north and south-bound.
