8-12 Sept.  After her back-tracking to Connecticut, Elsie finally is on the move. She left the NYC area sometime on the 11th and headed down toward Cape May, NJ. We don't know exactly where she crossed the Delaware Bay (the locations for this section of her journey are not of the highest accuracy) but she did cross the Delmarva peninsula later that day and pushed on across Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River about 30 miles south of Washington, DC.
