26 Sept: After making landfall somewhere near Cartagena, Della continues to move southeast through Colombia. She is moving through the Magdalena Valley, having passed north of the northern most extension of the Cordillera Occidental (the westernmost extension of the Andes) and is now skirting the northern Andes'  "east fork" (the Cordillera Oriental). My guess is that she'll find a low pass and head into the lowlands of the Amazon basin.       I've indicated on the map where Jaws, our 2004 youngster spent his first year and a half on the wintering grounds and where Homer (from the class of '05) is currently catching fish.      The next map will be a Google Earth image of the last three points on this map.
