23 Oct 06: On the 14th Comet made a short hop, about 20 miles north to the location indicated on this Google Earth image. He's in a river valley, about 70 mi (112 km) northwest of Medellin, Colombia.       Will this be the area he chooses to spend the next 18 months? Remember that young birds don't return north in their first spring, but stay on the wintering grounds for an extra year, so Comet's not due back in North America until the spring of '08. But I suspect we'll be seeing some more maps from him before then!
