26 Sept 06: Comet is moving southeast through Panama. He is only the second east-coast Osprey that we have tagged that has seen the Pacific Ocean. Next stop seems to be South America. He'll hit the Choco region west of the Andes if he keeps going southeast..       Right now he is on the flyway taken by many of the Ospreys from the mid-west. While some of the mid-western Ospreys fly east and follow the Florida-Cuba-Hispaniola route to South America, many fly through Central America on their way to the wintering grounds.
