Sept. 30: Jaws is back in South America! His amazingly cooperative transmitter (all things considered) came on just in time to document his crossing of the Caribbean. We don't know exactly how or when he got to Cuba, but it was almost certainly along the path indicated by the arrows from Florida.       Our first signal from him was on 25 Sept. On the 27th he was just east of Guantanamo (the little red dot on the map of Cuba). We next pick him up crossing the Caribbean. Again, the line connecting the points on 27 and 28 Sept. do not indicate his flight path. He surely flew over Hispaniola and probably over Cabo Beato, again as indicated by the arrows. Our next fix for him was on the 30th, a hundred or so km southeast of the bay where he spent his teenage years, from the fall of '04 through the spring of '06.
