Sept. 10: Jaws is doing exactly what we observed some adults do after their nests failed in 2000-2003. After two months mostly on the Vineyard, he returned to a spot he knows from two years ago, spent a day there, flew back to Martha's Vineyard, for a few days and then returned to his fishing hole in Connecticut. We don't know how long he stayed on the Vineyard in the beginning of September, because his temperamental transmitter was off the air from 9/2 through 9/9, when we pick him up in CT. It was on for two days and then shut off again.      The next map shows where he was when it came on again about two weeks later.
