	16-19 Sep -- Conomo followed Patience and Claws over the Atlantic shortcut from NC to Florida--seems to be the thing to do this year. Our first fix for him out over the Atlantic was 23:21 about 300 miles from the coast of NC. Other birds have averaged about 30 mph out over the water, so we can guesstimate that he left land behind around 1 PM. The whole crossing covered 530 mi (860 km) and probably took around 18 hours.      On the 19th he moved down the coast a bit. The coordinates for the last fix is in downtown Miami. We're pretty sure he was not window shopping but rather a bit west, maybe in the Everglades, or east along the beach. These are non-GPS locations, so they're not all that accurate.
