december began, Comet moved north to an area he had visited earlier and
spent 12 days there.
Our last signal from him was on 15 dec. This is a case where we have no idea what happened. Shooting is always a possibility, as are a malfunctioning transmitter, or death by some other cause.. Scroll down for a map showing all his locations in Colombia. |

This map shows all the locations for Comet in October through 15 December, when we lost his signal. We see that he revisited several locations in the course of his travels, just as Homer did back in the fall of '05 as he explored the countryside, in search of a reliable fishing spot. |
