25 August 2005.
     So much for our speculations!
On the 22nd, he was west and a bit north of his last CT location, near Newburgh, NY. He may have gotten to the Hudson River before correcting his flight path and heading south again.

On the 23rd he got to the head of Chesapeake Bay, just east of Aberdeen, MD, and then, on the 25th, he moved west to the mountains. He's between Hagerstown and Martinsburg, MD, stopping for a bit along the Potomac River, upstream from Washington, DC. He may be our first tagged bird to migrate south along the east slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
He has traveled 443 miles (713km) in seven days of migration.
