18 Oct: After nine days near the north coast, Bluebeard took off on the 17th and quickly made it to the coast, west of Santiago, and it looks like he's bound for Hispaniola.

The Osprey-ometer now reads 1959 mi. (3153 km). He left the Vineyard 22 days ago and is now, after the rest stop after arriving in Cuba, averaging 89 miles/day (143 km/day).
