The first data from our newly tagged male almost in Canada. The track coming up from the south is the tagging team driving up from the south with the transmitter activated in our car. The trips over the mountain and through the woods southeast of the nest are interesting...

Mackenzie has somehow discovered a state-run fish hatchery! If this were in Cuba, I'd be popping valiums by the fistful. But my colleague Iain MacLeod assures me I can relax. The hatchery is fun by NH Fish and Wildlife, so they're on our side. I do wonder how many other Ospreys are dipping their talons into the hatchery ponds.
